Virtusa’s engineering expertise and technology-led innovations deliver value across the medical device supply chain by helping to decrease operational costs, improve quality, and accelerate productivity. Our medical devices technology solutions help companies increase market share by building new product capabilities that advance care coordination, improve health outcomes, and drive better healthcare management. Examples include:

Renal care: Virtusa developed connectivity and insights for home dialysis care, produced AI/ML algorithms to identify patients at risk for chronic kidney disease, and built an EMR interoperability appliance for in-center dialysis.
Orthopedics: Virtusa created a digital surgery platform through ML-based risk stratification by leveraging EMR interoperability, personalized care plans, a mobile app for patient engagement through a Continuum of Care (CoC), and a surgeon portal to simplify post-surgery care.
Diabetes: Virtusa built an interoperable/payment evidence-based remote patient monitoring solution that helped diabetic device companies transform revenue from product-based to service-based.
Cardiovascular: Virtusa created a field asset management solution that increased insights generation and deployed automated outreach and faster service for inbound calls, which helped improve operational efficiencies, reduce asset waste, and increase cross-selling opportunities.
Respiratory: Virtusa’s predictive analytics solution is equipped with IoT remote patient monitoring and AI/ML to drive interoperability with EMRs and payor management services, increasing healthcare connectivity for patients with chronic respiratory disease.
