For 15 years Valentia Partners has delivered projects tackling our clients' most complex and business-critical issues. Recognised for our exacting standards, we are a team of thinkers, fixers, and finishers with a shared commitment to excellence.
Founded in Dublin
Founded to deliver mission critical projects in the Financial Services sector, with the belief that true transformation is delivered when working from thought to execution. Initial focus on Finance, Regulatory, and Risk transformation in Banking and Capital Markets.
London office established
Despite the 2008 financial crash, demand for our style of consulting, blending technical expertise and focused execution, continued to grow – and we opened a London office. We also established key strategic partnerships with other firms, enhancing our value proposition and enabling us to lead projects of significant scale.
First international engagements
Our first foray into Europe – delivering strategic growth projects, gaining new licences and regulatory permissions, and standing-up new business units, for clients in Banking and Wealth & Asset Management.
Valentia's largest digital project
Agile digital delivery strategy and operating model – defining and embedding a new mode for identification and evaluation of propositions, design, and journey mapping for a large Irish Bank.
Investing in graduate talent
Traditionally a firm of experienced consulting specialists only, we hired our first graduate to bring new and diverse perspectives to the firm. We now do a small graduate intake every year, investing in the next generation of consulting talent.
Our first academic partnership
Began working with the University of Strathclyde business school, supporting their Masters in Analytics and Consulting course and offering paid summer internships In 2020 we further deepened our academic engagement and began working with UCD Smurfit Business School in Dublin – further underpinning our commitment to bringing new talent into the industry.
Valentia’s largest regulatory project
Completed a two-year project delivering ringfencing implementation in a Tier 1 UK Bank – delivering from design to implementation on both the business and technology sides of the programme, managing front-to-back transformation impacting 60+ systems, and working with client teams across 10+ locations.
Established our Fintech consulting practice
Bringing together deep industry expertise and insights, our Fintech practice works both with established Financial Institutions to innovate, and the Fintechs building those propositions.
Continued growth through the pandemic
Demand for our services continued to grow as we helped our clients refocus their investment and get ready for a post-pandemic world. We doubled down internally to strengthen our thinking on the future, and introduce monthly scenario thinking sessions – bringing the whole firm together to discuss trends impacting the industry on topics as diverse as the future of crypto assets, new approaches for distressed assets / balance sheets, and the rise of Big Tech.
Further international growth
Delivered projects in North America, Europe, and Asia – with much of our work focused on strategy, regulatory compliance, and go-to-market in the Fintech space.
Our new brand
Our firm has changed a lot since it was founded 15 years ago. We have always been driven by a restless energy to do things better, and wanted to refresh our brand to reflect the spirit and energy of our firm and our people.
